Uzbekistan Development Gateway
Uzbekistan Development Gateway project (UzDG) was initiated by the infoDev program of the World Bank and Center for Economic Research (CER) after support by the Government of Uzbekistan in May 2001. Since than UzDG has successfully finished its Planning phase that aimed at establishing necessary framework for further development of UzDG project, its portal (www.darvoza.uz) and its online/offline products and services, which had been designed to facilitate e-development of Uzbekistan.
UzDG is now in its Implementation Phase which is being implemented with the support of the Development Gateway Foundation, Center for Economic Research, UNDP, various Development Stakeholders and the Government of Uzbekistan. UzDG is targeted to contribute to efforts of development stakeholders to improve living standards of the country's population, to facilitate knowledge sharing and information exchange in Uzbekistan by providing products and services for both local and international communities, including but not limited to highly integrated and comprehensive national and regional Internet portals on development issues.
